Private Hire Vehicle- Vehicle Check (Interim Check) at 4 Months and 8 Months (£35)* from start date of your licence. What type of appointment do I need to book? A new application must be made and we will not licence the vehicle on a new application once it is over 7 years old. Once a vehicle is 7 years old at the date of renewal it must pass it's inspection and MOT before the renewal date, otherwise the licence will have expired.

For a new application the vehicle MUST be less than 7 years from the date of first registration to the inspection date. The vehicle age is taken as the date of first registration. This inspection will check the vehicle meets our licensing requirements and this is not mechanical in nature. If your vehicle has less than 1000 miles you will only need to book a vehicle inspection. Important notes: All vehicles will need to have a MOT unless they are brand new with less than 1000 miles when it arrives at the depot for it's inspection.
